UPDATES SUNDAY NIGHTS

Rick Hetley is a single man in his late twenties. He just won the lottery. He took a payout of 14.8 million dollars.

Today he celebrates, buying a private yacht and throwing a big party out in the ocean. He has hired a man to sail the yacht and his small crew. The catered party features five kegs and close to one hundred bottles of liquor, twenty bottles of wine, and plenty of non-alcoholic drinks for mixing. Rick has invited twenty-five people to the party, including the cashier who sold him the winning lottery ticket.

The plan is to sail into open waters, spend most of the night out at sea, and then sail home in the late hours of the night. And the day is perfect for it, Rick thinks, The sun is warm, though not overly so, and my brand new yacht is sailing out into the ocean.

The Captain turns the engine off and lets the boat coast on the waters. Hetley gets a glass of white wine from the bartender and taps the side of the glass with a spoon. The murmer of conversation ends and all eyes go to him.

"Firstly, I'd like to congratulate myself on winning the lottery," He says. "I was beginning to think playing the lottery would never pay off. You've been invited because I value all of you as family and as friends... Or you're the guest of someone whose friendship or kinship I hold dear.

"Now everyone get a drink, we're having a toast." The two bartenders worked quickly and after several minutes everyone had a drink in hand. Rick held his glass ahigh, everyone raising their drinks up as well. "To my success," he says with a smile. Everyone drinks.

"We're in international waters, people. What this means is that there are no laws. Do what you will, but please don't kill anyone."

After a brief period of silence the reggae band starts up, playing a cover of Bob Marley's Jammin'.

OOC: On your first post, feel free to have your character talk to anyone; create your own dialogue for your PCs and NPCs... Just don't write for someone else's character -or- the untouchable two characters (Captain Ron and Rick Hetley). Talk to one another as well. Shit will go down on the next update.

Felicia had been a good girl for the past year, and her probation officer was now allowing her to go back to work. When she entered her boss's office, the woman had a brilliant smile on her face. Fe frowned and stared at her, as Candace, Amy and Sarah all gathered around the desk. Felicia never thought she was all that pretty, sure she had the body to stop a truck and a pretty face to match, but she never did like what she saw in the mirror. To her, the other girls were far prettier, but she kept that to herself as their boss stood up to talk to them. The woman was small, tiny even. And had been running this exotic dance hall for the longest time, it was all she knew. There was also a burlesque show that went on during the week days, but Felicia knew she wasn't that good of a dancer. But boy could the girl sing! I digress.

As her boss was standing, Felicia was waiting for the woman to speak. It seems like an eternity before she does. Willow, her boss, tells the girls about some Johnny who won the lottery and wants the best "exotic dancers" on his yacht for a day trip. The girls all exchange glances and squeals of joy, that means they all get like... Triple overtime? Fe smiles and nods with the other girls as they all agree to take this trip. All the girls pack up their gear to set out on the ship, Felicia hesitates as her better judgement tells her that something feels wrong about this. She decides to shrug it off and go anyway.

The girls carpool down to the shipyard, all exit the vehicle together. Sarah wraps an arm around Fe's shoulder and squeals about the fact that the pay will be remarkable and they can finally go shopping for the new purses they wanted. Felicia smiles and nods as they enter the yacht. The driver of the ship indicates a room for the girls to change and get set up in. Once ready, the girls enter the top deck where the party is. Plenty of drinking (soon to be drunk) Johnnies to tease and tantalize. She smiled and asked who was the winner, she smiles as Mr. Hetley makes a toast. Now, she knew who the winner was. She would pay attention to him later. The bartenders pass around drinks, normally the girls aren't supposed to indulge in alcohol. Clouds the senses and makes it more difficult to dance, but for now they all take a shot. One shot will not kill them!

After the speech is done, the girls head to the poles and begin to bump and grind along to the reggae music. It is far more difficult to dance to a song with a slower beat, but c'est la vie. Fe makes the best of it, besides, who does not enjoy a little Bob Marley now and then?

Tony had already quaffed down a beer before his cousin Rick started talking. Rich, he thinks, I should call him Rich now.

He claps and cheers when everyone else does, and when his cousin tells them all to get a drink he gets himself a second drink.

"To my success!" Rick says with a broad grin. Tony chugs down his beer and goes to grab another. The reggae band starts playing and Tony cringes inwardly. Yeah, reggae at sea makes sense and all, but he'd much rather hear some real music. A Metallica cover band would have been great.

But whatever, it's Rick's money and if that little queer wants to spend it on dumb shit like this, he thinks, I guess that's up to him. At least Rick got him his favorite beer. Rick is kind of a fairy, but he's a good guy really.

Tony takes a long drink from his Coors Light and notices the half naked girls dancing. Surprise, surprise. This is possibly the least gay thing Rick has ever done. He moves in closer to leer at the nearest one.

Booze, half naked women and money, always a bad combination. Brandon thought as he did brewer tricks. Well at leas if these rich suckers get drunk enough they will tip more.

This reminded him of his old life on the streets. The boss of his gang always seemed to have this type of party at least once a day. That was the life no rules and responsibilities. Of course that was before he found out his skills with weapons then he went from low life drop out to enforcer.

He started beating people practicing with guns and making the boss money. As soon as he was offered a job as a bouncer in a high end club he took it and left his old life behind.

Not that he didn't still practice with weapons. Feeling the 2 guns he always carried slap on his side. Never knew when you might need those.

One of the girls came closer to him and he smiled but sighed on the inside knowing this was an order.

"A Blue Moon Mary." she says.

He smiles and turns to her making the drink handing her the glass and then looking at the sun wondering when this day is going to be over.

John stands leaning against the bar, sipping his non-alcoholic beverage, and waiting for something to happen, anything to happen really. He just hopes he can spot something illegal before they reach international waters...

Chryssa watches Rick from the crowd as he toasts himself. Arrogant prick. The two of them had been dating… well, not really dating so much as hooking up whenever one of them got desperate enough for sex with the other… up until a few weeks ago, when he had moved on to smoother-shaven pastures (that is, pussy) and left her without anyone to mooch off. And then he went and got himself fucking loaded.

And where was she? What, was a girl like her supposed to work? Eww. Like, c’mon. She was way too good-looking to be made to debase herself with a job. Seriously!

So it seemed she would have to use her feminine wiles (and maybe the Rohypnol she has in her purse) to get Rick and, more importantly, his money once more under her control.

Putting on her least-unconvincing Stepford smile, Chryssa makes her way over to Rick. “Ohmigawd, babe, I can’t believe your luck!” she tells him, wrapping her arms around his neck and pressing her body into his. “But if you wanna get really lucky, you and I should find someplace to be alone,” she whispers seductively in his ear.

The phone rings and James checks to see who it is. Rick H it reads, Too involved in mess ing with his computers he lets it go to voicemail. James thinks... I haven't heard from my cousin in a while, what the hell does he want. Shortly after he gets a text.

I figured you wouldn't pick up, I just won the lottery and you should get some fresh air and come celebrate with me. Having a party, there will be liquor, girls, and music. By the way I bought a yacht. One night out won't kill you. Sent you a limo should hear a beep in a about 10 minutes.

"Why the hell not, one night what could go wrong" James says to himself. Since he feels naked without any tech he gets some gadgets packed into a backpack and tosses his phone in his jeans. By the time everything gets shutdown, a loud beep echoes outside his house.

Arriving at the yacht, James exits the limo and walks up the plank to the sounds of a bob marley cover band tuning up and a very nice view of some exotic dancers. Also, noticing his prick of a cousin Tony and Chryssa, Ricks golddigger ex. "Drama drama drama" he says quietly to himself.

He picks a seat off to the side as Rick begins his toast and sets up a camera to record the toast and whatever else may occur.

Looking at his phone noticing no bars too far out to get a shore connection, maybe he can get some wifi later off a passing ship. James lets himself zone out to the sound of the music and sights of the girls slowly grinding to the music.

Rick walks over to the bar nodding hello to the man leaning on it but talking to the bartender whose nameplate reads BRANDON. "You gotta be dying in that three piece*, man. They always make you dress like that? Let me get a Long Island."

He turns his attention to JOHN , the man leaning on the bar, sipping at... Well he doesn't quite know what the man is drinking. "Excuse me," Rick said; "What exactly are you drinking?"

As the man replies, Rick tries to remember who the guy is but can't place him. "Do I know you?" he asks, knowing full well that he doesn't. Is this a party crasher aboard his yacht? How did he get past security?

When his drink is made, Rick mingles with his guests; most congratulating him, and some schmoozing a little extra hard. He's not sure what he thinks of that.

He dances briefly with each of the strippers, dancing a little longer with the curvaceous blond who says her name is FELICIA. "Now what happens when you've taken all of your clothes off?" he asks her. "I mean we'll be out here for hours. Do you just put them back on and dance them off again, or do you go nude for the rest of the night?"

"The sun is hot out here," he tells her with a wink before walking away. "Let me know if you need someone to put sunscreen on you."

Rick goes deeper into the crowd, talking briefly with everyone like the good host that he is. He runs into his cousin TONY, the muscle bound idiot. Tony could be alright from time to time, but really he was more a nuisance than anything else; arrogant despite his stupidity. It's been rumored that Tony did steroids for a while, and looking at him it isn't hard to believe.

Rick smiles and talks briefly with him, tolerating his usual macho bullshit and belittling humor. Rick is a little disappointed, he was hoping Tony would be in one of his more amiable moods; instead he was in full dickhead mode. In a way it was relieving though, at least he knew Tony wouldn't be kissing his ass.

When he was done talking to him he made his way over to the edge of the deck, leaning on the rail and looking out at the sea while sipping at his drink. He didn't even notice his cousin JAMES at first, being all anti-social and staring at his phone. "What's up, James? I thought for a little bit there that you didn't even make it," he says. "Put the phone down, man. We're at a party in the middle of international waters... You're not going to get a signal."

He talks to James a little more and then returns his attention to the distant sea. It's amazing out here, he thinks; staring out into the distance as the sun begins to set. He hears someone approaching him from behind.

When he turns around he finds someone he was hoping not to see. Rick put on a neutral smile on when CHRYSSA walks up to him. He invited her to be polite, he didn't actually expect her to come. They'd dated off and on over the years and the last breakup was a nasty one. He'd actually been falling for her the last time around, but she never moved to that level with him. They'd had a big fight and said some things. Some words when spoken, can't be taken back.**

Even today, he could tell she was faking. She threw herself desperately at him, flirting almost too hard. "Hello, Ssa;" he said, using a ridiculous pet name he'd given her when they were dating the first time. He did a lot of drugs back then.

"I can't believe your luck," she said, pressing her body into his; following it up with the suggestion that he could "get really lucky" if they found a place to be alone.

"Really lucky?" he asks, laughing cruelly. "Odds of winning the lottery are less than one in a million, odds of sleeping with you are what? One in ten?"

The sun is nearly set, the sky taking on shades of deep orange and rose while the stars start to shine dimly from above.

* A three piece suit is the only possible way you could have snuck those guns past security. Consider letting you get away with something so ludicrous as my gift to you.

Next update Wednesday night. Bad weather ahead. This will probably be the last time I allow it, so take advantage of it if you wish to: Feel free to make up an NPC that your character interacts with in some way. So long as that character has a tangible reason to be at the yacht party, (ie, some sort of connection to Rick Hetley) then go for it. This offer is limited to a maximum of 3 NPCs introduced by you.

Enjoy the party while it's still a party.

In spite of what people say about strippers being uneducated, stupid, or ignorant Fe was not any of those three. Sure, her college education had never been completed but she was still smart enough to pay attention to the going's on at the party. She keeps her eyes on the people Rick talks to most, thinking that they would most likely be the ones to pay up more. She also eyes a man leaning against the bar sipping on something, most likely a Jack and Coke? He seems bored. She is going to approach him later to make him a little less bored.

Felicia is wearing a very short skirt, with a Bob Marley colored bikini underneath. Red, black, yellow and green are some of her favorite colors, so it is only coincidental that her bikini would match the theme of the party. As she's twirling around the pole, Rick (the lottery winner) approaches her and begins to dance with her. The difference is that he pays more attention to her, than her friends. He talks a bit to her, small talk then obviously indicates his interest in her. Fe never goes to bed with patrons, but in this case she may make an exception. Rick is pretty easy on the eyes, and she is happy she was hand-picked for this job.

Now what happens when you've taken all of your clothes off? I mean, we'll be out here for hours. Do you just put them back on and dance them off again, or do you go nude for the rest of the night? The sun is hot out here, let me know if you need someone to put sunscreen on you.

Oh he is a smooth one, she thought with a grin. Being a natural brunette was normally no fun when she was dancing, so she adorned a very nice Jessica Simpson-ish blonde wig. It adds to her natural features, and lets guys think that she is easy and dumb. Not the case at all, but it helps.

"Normally, I am not on an all day gig like this." she smiled as they dance, "But it depends on what the man of the hour wants." she purrs to him. Her voice low so only he can here, and seductive just for him. She knows how to play the game, that is why she is one of the ones who brings in the most money.

"I will. My skin is quite fair, and the added SPF will help." she winks at him as she shimmies out of her skirt. This exposes more of her long, lean legs. As she is dancing around, she notices a woman approach Rick and practically throw herself at him. Ahhh, the girlfriend, she thought. As Fe watches Rick's body language, she notices how uncomfortable he is around the girl. She smirks. The ex girlfriend, oh this is going to be interesting. Fe is not one for drama, but she knew that Rick's ex would be approaching her sometime soon, only because Rick gave her some extra attention. The girl is pretty, but not nearly as sexy as Fe was perceived. Fe has all the moves, and the men can see that as they watch her dance. Soon she slips out of her bikini top, and is half naked in front of everyone.

She continues to dance and do her thing, still watching and listening to what is going on at the party. Something tells her that as the evening progresses, things will become more interesting than they are now.

Laughing to himself as Brandon sees one of the "dancers" take off her clothing and play a little to the man who had hired him. He thinks, man what a slut. She could have a least waited till noon before trying to jump the guy. Not that he seems to mind all that much. Then taking another look at her he thinks not that I wouldn't mind either. She is hot after all.

Turning his thoughts back on the tax at hand and not to the half naked women not 40ft away. He thinks about his partner Reggie and where the hell is he. Going into slight respite as he remembered the first day he met Reggie. It was his first day as an enforcer and in their gang everyone worked in pairs. Reggie was about the only person he trusted back then. The man might be small and not nearly as strong but he can do some serious damage with that pocket knife he carried with all the time. They left the mob to start a new life together. They might as well be brothers.

But where is the bastard was the better question. Look furiously he saw the top of the brown hair muffed up that marked Reggie's style of all natural coming up from the below the deck in his own three piece suit. As he got behind the bar all the mirth in his blue eyes disappeared as he looked in my face.

"What? I was only gone for an hour and its not like you were slammed." He says with a wine in his voice.

Looking down on him "And what was so god dam important that you left the b..." Cut off by Reggie tilting his head from where he entered the deck. Looking Brandon saw a redhead dancer coming from below deck with a glazed look in her eyes and trying to readjust her clothes.

Turing back to Reggie, who had the mirth in his eyes again says "Can I pick them or Can I pick em?" smiling he adds "I give her at least an 8 both with clothes on and off."

Laughing Brandon slaps his friend on the back and in a joking tone says "You dog. Can you go more then a day without having sex?"

Reggie in annoyance goes "Why would I have to when I got my talents? and Be careful where you hit you big brute. I think I lost a rib on that last one."

The friends continue to joke in such a manner. Till a potential customer comes into hearing range. Then they shut up and be as pleasant as ever.

After talking briefly with Rick, making it a point to call him Rich with each mutterance of his name; Tony did his fair share of mingling with the few people he knew. Four of his cousins were here as well as Rick's step brother Johnny. He and Johnny had always gotten along well and the two of them made their way over to one of the bars.

"What the hell have you been up to, man?" he asks Tony.

"Oh, you know how it is," Tony tells him. "I'm working at the Muscle Farm in Pensacola, still hookin' up with random broads and poundin' brewskies though." His words were 2/3rds true; he worked at the Muscle Farm and he pounding a lot of brewskies. But women were something else entirely. Tony had a hard time talking to women, he found himself tongue tied and stupid around them. "What about you?"

"All good," Johny responds simply. "How about Rick winning the damn lottery?"

"How about that shit?" Tony responded.

"And this yacht party? Fucking awesome."

Tony nods in agreement. "Hell yeah, man."

"How many strippers are there?" Johnny asks. "Did you count them all?"

"Besides our cousin Nikki?" Tony asks. "Five, I think."

"How many of them do you think will be more than strippers tonight?"

"Other than our cousin?" Tony asks.

"Man what the fuck is wrong with you?"

A few hours after sunset the captain, Ron; grabs the microphone off of the reggae singer. The band stops immediately and nearly everyone directs thier attention toward him.

"Attention everyone," he says. "There is a storm showing up on radar. I'm sorry to do it, but I'm going to call the party short and take us back home."

Rick walks up on stage, he takes the mic off of the Captain. "Fucking mother nature, huh? Y'all head inside, we'll move the party to the cab. Thank you," he says, handing the mic back to Captain Ron.

Ron clears his throat, "There's no reason to be concerned, we should be able to get back home before this even hits us. Crewmen, lets get this baby ready to move."

The interior of the yacht is decked out; wrap around leather couch, huge stereo system, kitchen, and multiple bedrooms. Despite the size of the interior it is somewhat cramped within, what with all the guests.

[OOC: Have your character react to this, and either move inside or brave it on deck]

The storm hits them sooner than expected. It starts out with some big waves, the stars overhead are blocked out by the clouds. Thunder rolls from above like the water below; and lightning hits the water around them, pillars of bright white light flash to connect the sky and sea.

A bolt hits one of the yachts antennae; blowing the circuits and shutting down power all over the vessel. The darkness has a silencing affect for the party; the errie quiet inside a sharp contrast to the booming thunder and crashing patter of the hail storm outside. At some point it all ends and the sea is suddenly calm.

The storm is over, the clouds dispersing. Two people are unaccounted for, one of the crewmen and someone who refused to go below deck; both presumed to have been swept overboard.

Ron, at control, starts the yacht moving again. But with the lightning striking and magnetizing the towers, his navigation is innefective. Despite his years of experience, the lack of proper instruments and the turn arounds from the storm leave him guessing.

Just before sunrise the yacht strikes something in the water, then again and again and soon the boat comes to a sudden halt.

"We've hit a reef," Ron tells everyone. "There's land not to far from here. We need to evacuate the yacht before it sinks. My crew is already preparing the life boats, we ask that you board them in a calm and organized fashion."

[OOC: Okay, that's the update. Have your character react to any of the events above that you wish to, do whatever, and then get them into the life boat.]

What a way to kill the mood, Fe thought as the captain said there was a storm approaching. She picks up her top and quickly slides back into it as they are all pretty much ushered into the lower cabin. She falls in line behind the rest of the girls, and feels a hand grab hers. She looks back to find Sarah grabbing her, and smiles. Sarah has always been like a sister to her, they had went to high school together, graduated the same time and also attended college together. The only difference is that Fe had dropped out because of a boy, and traveled down the wrong path with said boy. Sarah is the one who brought Fe back, made her realize the error of her ways and got her back on the right track. The girls found an apartment together, and since then were inseparable.

Once they all reach the bottom, Fe and Sarah stand off to the side. She watches the crowd as she sits on the couch, her ankles are killing her. The shoes she is wearing are six inches high and there is absolutely no cushion on the inside of the heel. Fe will never understand why men find those kinds of shoes attractive, but if those shoes are what get the men riled up, then continue to wear them she would. The reactions people are having were interesting to watch, and it seems like the reggae band was a little more freaked out than the rest. Rick on the other hand, appeared pretty well calm. As she sat and watch a loud crash was heard from above. She jumps in surprise. The boat was most likely struck by lightning. Great... Just great, she thinks to herself as Sarah sits beside her.

The captain soon comes down to the lower deck to report that the storm was letting up. She smiles, but soon enough something else goes wrong. The crashes into a reef multiple times, and there was land not too far away. Everyone aboard is instructed to get on the lifeboats. Fe sighs, but goes and grabs her things, she slips into more practical shoes and clothing quickly. Sarah follows suit and they board the nearest life boat together.

"What else could possibly go wrong?" she mutters to no one in particular. Fe is now wearing an off-the-shoulder t-shirt with Jimi Hendrix on it, and shorts, along with gladiator sandals to match the black shirt. She holds her bag in her lap and watches everyone around her. Still fascinated the motley crew Rick managed to have aboard his vessel.

Aadesh has never drunk this much alcohol before. Very soon after the party starts he is quite drunk and having the best time he has ever had at any party in his entire life. He has been able to talk to 3 women this evening and 2 of them were half naked!

When the captain came up to announce that everyone had to go downstairs, Aadesh ignored the warning. There was NO WAY he was going to let all this beer go to waste. And besides, he would just tie himself to the bar if it got really rough. NOTHING was going to ruin this night!

As the ship's tossing and turning got worse, Aadesh started to feel quite ill. "Perhaps that last two beers should have waited until the storm ends." he thought to himself. He started weaving back and forth over to the shelf where he saw the rope stored. But there was nothing that he could find to tie the rope to that was a permanent fixture. So he looped one end of it through three barstools next to him and the other around his waist. He then placed the barstools behind the bar thinking that there is no way that all three would be pulled over the top.

He sat on another stool and waited. Soon it became obvious that he was going to be sick. He stumbled over to the edge of the boat and started heaving. Suddenly, a large wave rushed over the railing and Aadesh lost his grip. He fell, and then tried to stand back up, but when he did the ship was rolling downward and he slipped and went over the railing into the drink.

As he went under, he screamed out for help. When he had reached the surface, he saw a crewman pulling on the rope that was around his waist. He was saved! Relieved, Aadesh started swimming to the boat. The look of calm determination on his face turned to horror as he saw the man lose his grip on the rope and the three barstools come flying out from behind the bar. The second one struck the crew member in the back of the head and he also fell overboard.

Aadesh saw the man land about ten feet away and was able to reach him and make sure he was conscious. The man looked at him and said "What the hell happened?"

It was then that Aadesh felt the large and heavy tug at his waist. In a panic, he grabbed the crewman tightly around the neck. "SWIM DAMMIT SWIM OR WE ARE GOING TO DIE!" he screamed.

The crewman was choking and trying to push Aadesh off of him. The two went under struggling together against the weight of the barstools.

Brandon leaves the bar and goes down below. With no bar down there it looks like he is done for tonight and finds himself a room to lie down in.

He wakes up to the captin telling everybody get on the life boats. So that's what he does. He pats his jacket with the guns in the pockets. He whispers "Well things just got a lot more interesting.

John goes below decks with the rest of the passengers, but rather than socialize John merely sits in a corner and waits for the storm to pass. He already has been having troubles controlling his sea-sickness, but now that a storm's rolling in...

He'd just talked himself up enough to talk to one of the dancers when the music stopped and the Captain told everyone to get inside.

"Ah fuck that!" Tony yelled, chugging the rest of his beer and throwing the bottle into the ocean.

"Dude," Johnny said, shaking his head.

"Lets get another beer," he tells his cousin.

"Alright," Johnny agrees. "But then I'm going inside."

They each crack open another beer while almost everyone else goes back inside. It isn't long after the yacht gets turned around and moving that the clouds roll in overhead and the storm begins.

"I'm going inside," Johnny says, drinking more of his beer and clanging it against Tony's. "Dont get swept overboard now."

They laugh. Soon Tony is alone save for the crew and some drunken fool that was falling all over himself. The rain gets heavy, chunks of hail start falling from the sky. Tony finishes his beer, grabs three more from the cooler, and goes inside soaking wet.

"It's raining," he announces to the room. The couch is pretty much full so he just sort of stands around, drinking at the beers and flexing whenever one of the women looks in his direction. Then the boat shift suddenly and something cracks beneath the water, Tony almost looses his footing. It happens again and again and soon the yacht comes to a complete stop.

When people are getting into the life rafts (of which the yacht has three), Tony runs in and grabs a knife from the kitchen and grabs one of the coolers from behind the bar on his way out; he is one of the last to get into a raft.

What. The. FUCK DID HE SAY TO ME???

Chryssa scoffs, unable to believe the way Rick just talked to her. Just as she has finished processing the insult and prepared herself to respond in kind about the size of Rick’s manhood, she finds that he has slunk away. She lets out a small scream, then spots one of the skanky strippers Rick hired for the party watching her. Flipping the bitch the bird, Chryssa moves on to stew and drink and stare petulantly at everyone who dares meets her eye.

A little while later, the captain informs the party-goers of an imminent storm. By now, Chryssa is drunk and, judgment impaired, refuses to be packed down below like some sardine in a can; she absolutely loathes the idea of being anywhere near her ex. She continues to drink at the bar, oblivious that the world around her is actually bobbing and rocking and that it isn’t just the booze. Down at the other end, an Indian guy who doesn’t seem aware there’s anyone else around starts tying rope around his waist. Shortly after doing this, he stumbles over to the side of the yacht and vomits.

So that’s how you make Indian food, Chryssa thinks and laughs, catching herself when the bar stool she’s sitting on starts to slide. There is a loud CRACK! and a white shaft of light connects with the antenna on top of the boat.

Chryssa screams as her surroundings lurch suddenly with the appearance of a large wave and falls out of the bar stool, smashing her right shoulder on the floor. In her peripheral vision, she sees the Indian guy fall over the side and someone else in uniform run to help him, only to be sent overboard himself when one of the bar stools flies through the air and strikes him in the back.

Clawing at whatever she can reach, Chryssa scrambles for the lower deck as hail begins to fall, a few pellets hitting her in the back of the head, arms, back and legs. When another violent wave crashes against the boat, she is flung down the stairs and hits her head on the door, falling unconscious.

When she wakes up, her entire body aches, but particularly her skull. She’s on the lower deck now, laid out on the leather couch with people all around staring down at her. She reaches a hand out briefly, reaching for…

Rick…?

She passes back out and is woken up again to see that the sun is beginning to rise. Her head is pounding, but seems to have been tended to while she was knocked out. Her shoulder is sore, as are her back and calves, but she seems fine, all in all.

Then the boat jerks. Chryssa grasps out to the person closest to her. “What is that? What is that?” she keeps asking. Shortly, she gets an answer when the captain returns and tells everyone they’ve hit a reef and need to evacuate. The party-goers begin to file out and Chryssa searches for any sign of Rick.

That bastard, she thinks, wiping away a few tears, this is all his fault.

She feels for her purse only to realize it isn’t slung around her shoulder. She must’ve lost it during the storm. Which means she’s lost the roofies, too.

“Bastard…” she mutters under her breath.

The rafts, filled to such capacity, are sluggish. Among the items scavenged from the ship are some of the food, water, various lengths of rope, tarp, flares, some canned goods, and some eating utensils (both silverware and plates).

It is nearly noon when they get to the beach, a large area of sand littered with drift wood and polished stones. Beyond the beach are tall grasses and shrubs and then bamboo and trees. The forrest looks deep and the island is quite large.

Out at sea the yacht sits precariously on the edge of the reef, rocking with each wave.

Most of the survivors are still bewildered, going through states of shock; but some are able to shake this and keep a cool head. The Captain, Ron; is one such person.

"Alright everyone," he says; "Our first focus is getting some sort of shelter together. We're also going to need a fire built, and we're going to need to be prepared for signaling a rescue. If we can work together we can survive. Let's get it done."

Survival mode. React to shit and figure out what you're going to do next. Good luck.

With much deliberation, the motley crew manages to make its way to some form of island. It seems small in appearance, but when they had arrived to the shore, it was rather large. Lucky I brought warm clothes with me. She thought to herself as they all climb out of the lifeboats and onto the sand. Once she is done helping everyone get out, and tie up the rafts, Fe then begins working on shelter with the captain. Fe has been through the ringer a few times in her life, and building a make-shift shack for everyone was an easy task in comparison. By all means, she should have taken her wig off, but with all the sweat and the humidity on the island, her hair underneath would be crap by now. She shrugs it off as she puts up poles to rest the tarps they found on. Sarah is the only other girl helping, Rick's ex is somewhere... Most likely puking her guts out.

Fe still keeps her eyes peeled at all the people, noting which ones have a strength of character and which ones don't. They're easy to spot, and she knows first hand that those kinds of people are going to be the first to lose their wits while on the island. It could be months before any sort of rescue arrives, and all of them are going to start freaking out by day three of this adventure. Felicia and Sarah both glanced at each other, they knew what the other is thinking and laugh it off.

Once shelter is done, Fe decides to go and help the group that is counting and rationing food. She sits down with her legs crossed, and counts the group of cans handed to her. Felicia is normally the silent type and listens (more or less) to everyone else's conversation, unless spoken to.

[OOC: As to why I have not posted lately I was rather sick for a while and then the holidays arrived. At least my character was a little hidden and still kind of lost in his tech world. I will do try to keep up with the current storyline without doing to much backtracking. Later posts will be more organized or at least attempt to be.]

James wakes up in one of the cabins below he has a pounding headache and his stomach feels like it is doing somersaults. "How long was I out for?" He whispers coarsely to himself. Thinking back he remembers listening to the band, watching the girl dancing, and then Rick telling him to stop being so antisocial and go enjoy himself.

Remembering talking to one of the exotic dancers and then getting all embarrassed when he stumbled into her and saying "I don't think i have my sea legs yet." She told me that she has heard that one before but I was cute and kind of nerdy so it was fine. She was light skinned, dark hair, great curves and long legs. Just my type James thinks, but before I say anything smooth I get light headed again and fell flat on my ass. She laughed and helped me up, then I asked to to escort me down to a cabin so I can lay down. She tells me she is not that kind of girl and just dances because she enjoys it and it pays really well. I assured her that I really just need to lay down since everything wont stop spinning and needed help down below. In agreement we both make our way to one of the lower deck cabins and were talking about the music and the chances of winning someone winning the lottery. The next thing I remember is waking up.

James looks down still fully clothed, Thinking to himself you get a girl alone with you and what do you do? Pass out from being sick on a boat.
Standing up to stretch, James steps into about a foot of water...What the? He looks out the porthole window and comes to realize something serious happened he is aboard a severed section on the ship stuck on a reef. Walking as quickly and as carefully as he can he gets up the broken staircase, up to the remains of the deck see it empty other than shattered pieces of the bar and 2 tabletops overturned on each other. "Anyone alive!" He screams, spinning around in a half circle he sees some life rafts in the distance not too far off. Looking around he overturns a table to see if there is anything he can use to paddle with seeing nothing he goes back and loosens the handrails that were barely hanging on from the staircase. James then tosses one of the tabletops overboard and then the handrails. Just as he is about to jump in the ocean after them, he spots a black object under the other table, My backpack with my gear...What luck he thinks to himself and Rick told me to leave all my tech at home. He then straps the backpack on "I guess it really is waterproof" James laughs and dives in.

He grabs the handrails, pulls himself onto the table top then starts the trek to the rafts.

The rafts are tied up to some drift wood and Captain Ron and his crew begin barking orders at everyone, gather wood, palm fronds, try to make a fire, etc. Many of the castaways are in too much shock to do anything more than stare out at the yacht in a daze.

The boat is still visible above the surface, partially submerged in the water but locked in place by the coral.

After a few hours two shelters are build and a third is in the process of being constructed. Ron and crew estimate that it will take one more shelter after that to keep everyone protected from the rain. Thankfully food and water rations are still aplenty from what was taken from the yacht, but no fire has yet been built.

What's more, this island has not yet been explored. No one is really sure what lies far beyond the beach. The only thing they're sure of is that it's a lot larger than they originally believed it to be.

Brandon, shaking out of his daze, gets his bearings. Looking at what the crew is building, he thinks they will be good shelters.

Then looking into the woods he knows they need to find out what is in there. Thinking on it he realizes he would be the best for the job because of the guns sitting in his pockets right now.

Walking over to the captain he asks "Do you need anybody to search the woods? Because if you do I would gladly volunteer."

The Captain gives Brandon a sidelong glance and half points and half shakes a finger at him. "The bartender, right? I thought so." He scratches his chin and says, "Our bottled water will run out in a few days and who knows how long we'll be out here waiting for rescue. We could definately use someone to find a water source for us."

Nodding his head Brandon moves towards the trees. To make sure he doesn't get lost he picks up a stick and makes a line wherever he goes.

After going for awhile. He notices that in the distance he hears a sound that sounds like running water. Moving quicker then before he makes his way towards the sound and finds a small stream that obviously comes from somewhere else.

A few hours later the shelters are built.

The fire is large and people are constantly bringing more wood for it, dragging fallen branches and trees from the trees nearby. If a plane should pass overhead, it will have no problem spotting it. The yacht kind of sticks out like a sore thumb as well, still well above the water line where it sits impaled by the coral.

One of the crewmen, a well fit young man by the name of Leon, is standing in the water and staring out at the yacht, another crew member and one of the party goers stand with him.

"There are too many supplies in there that could come in handy if we're stuck out here for longer than a couple of days," Leon says. "With luck we'll get what we need out of there and be gone before she goes down."

"Sounds like a plan," the other crewman says; "Form a small team and get it done, Leon."

"I'll go with you," the party goer volunteers.

Alone in the forest at the banks of a small stream, a bartender stands. He hears something moving around through the foilage behind him.

Felicia watched as things kept happening around them, but was happy to help. When things were finally settled, she and Sarah sat next to each other under one of the shelters they had built. They had enough food and water to last a few days, but anything beyond that would be trouble. She sighed softly as she spotted some of the crewmen talking amongst themselves, what they were talking about she had no idea. It had been a long day, and she was tired already. Fe half wished she had stayed home in her bed, safe. But no, she was here, stuck on some dumb island because of some stupid guy, winning the stupid lottery. So no fair. She grumbled and curled up closer to her best friend, if it wasn't for Sarah she had no idea what she would've done. Quite possibly lost her head, and gone mad like some of the others were going to soon enough.
