pleeeeeaaaase lose the 1st person

I'm trying to write a post with the first person POV like the FAQ says but it's just awful. DEP, I'm begging you here, before the RP gets rolling please please please let us use third person instead.

Maybe I'm in the minority here but I'm from the school of RP where you mostly post what the other characters see yours doing instead of their every internal thought. First person lends itself to an entirely different style that I could see being very difficult to work with.

'I' and 'my' are fine for internal monologues but when describing external details 'My green eyes flash', 'I don't notice the commotion, but continue staring off as if lost in thought, twisting and untwisting the edge of my cloak in my hands half-unconsciously' they just don't work and half the time are awkward as fuck.

I mean, seriously, try writing a post about your character being asleep or unconscious in the first person...

I'd have to agree. First tense is doable, but first person feels... funky.

Considering that there are only three members, I suppose this means the majority has spoken.

So be it. 3rd person it is. I'll alter the FAQ.

I go to a site called Choice of Games. I was one of the original forum goers so I hold some weight. (Through I have been gone for a few months) Any objections on me advertising there.

By all means, pimp us out.

I know that we should get one or two more members in the next couple days, but outside of that I posted a link on three other places that have not been responsive.

Three members may not seem like much, but bear in mind that this site is less than 48 hours old.

Also, there's another way you can help increase community, take a few seconds to vote on us. (theres a link on my profile and a link in a thread in Site Announcements)

Voting takes a few seconds of your time and you're allowed to cheat and vote more than once a day. I'm not sure how long they allow between votes but the more votes we get the more we move up on the list. The list is an rpg site list so traffic should potentially come our way from it. I know I used the list in the past to find a site that was up for a little while before disappearing.

Once we get this site running with three or more active games being played, we'll be able to submit to another rpg list that has even more traffic.

Still though, 48 hours in this isn't bad.
